Google Advertisements Account Managers Should Not Contact Clients Straight

Posted by

There are a growing number of reports across the web of Google Ads accounts supervisors threatening to contact clients straight, in spite of not being permitted to.

According to the reports, companies who don’t respond to emails from Google Ads account supervisors are being met threats from Google representatives to call customers directly.

In many cases, the Google Ads account supervisors call customers and inform them to drop their firms.

There are two things to make clear here:

  1. Agencies are not needed to talk to Google representatives
  2. At no point must a Google Ads account supervisor call a company’s customer

A Google Ads associate telling clients to fire their company crosses the line.

Nevertheless, these reports are becoming more regular.

Matt Janaway, CEO of Marketing Labs, shared his experience on LinkedIn this week:

support our marketers and agency partners.” Screenshot from: linkedin.com/posts/mattjanaway, November 2022. Janaway isn’t alone in his experience. Throughout October, reports flowed on Reddit of Google associates taking part in similar practices. One Reddit user posted a screenshot of an e-mail received by a Google Ads Account

Strategist, which reads: “I am composing to you one last time as a courtesy, due to the fact that my sincere objective is to offer you

value and sophisticated strategies with google advertisements and work with you closely, to help you save time and make your customers more successful with google ads, therefore I am calling you for the last time to notify you that if I do not reach you, I will presume that you are not getting my e-mails and will get in touch with the customers that I have been appointed directly.”Another Reddit user has nearly the exact same story, saying they

have actually been “bugged”with day-to-day emails from a Google Advertisements representative to get on a call and carry out campaign modifications. Again, firms aren’t bound to talk to Google representatives or execute changes customers aren’t asking for. Need to you get an e-mail like the one above, the very best thing to do is submit a grievance by means of

Google’s official kind. Be careful of these aggressive sales methods. As long as you’re not breaking any policies, Google has no say over

how you run your clients’campaigns. Included Image: FGC/Best SMM Panel
